Travelling to Amsterdam:

The nearest international airport is Amsterdam Schipol airport.

Travelling to Hilversum by train:

The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision is located across the road from Hilversum Media Park (=Hilversum Nord) station.

You can buy all your train tickets at self-service machines at the station, no need to book in advance. For train schedule, visit

Travelling to Hilversum by car:

Travelling by car The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision is easiest to reach by car via the A1 motorway: coming from Amsterdam, take exit 9 Laren/Hilversum-Noord. Coming from Amersfoort you follow the signs Hilversum-Noord and exit 9 Laren/Hilversum-Noord.

The parking garage of Sound and Vision can be found at the rear end of the building. The rate is € 1.50 per hour (maximum daily rate € 9). The garage has two charging stations for electric cars.

Travelling from the airport

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the main airport in the Netherlands with many European and intercontinental flight connections. From the airport, you can reach Hilversum Media Park station by train in 45 minutes. Schiphol train station is located directly below the airport and is accessible from the main hall.

Travelling from Amsterdam

If you are staying in Amsterdam, you can reach Amsterdam Centraal station from Schiphol Airport by train within 15 minutes. To reach the conference venue from Amsterdam Centraal station, take a train to Hilversum Media Park (30-minute ride).
